Al salam alakum wa ra7mat allah
A7ebaii fi allah, i apologise again for hving to write in English and not in the language of the 'people of jannah' may Allah makes us from amongst them, or in the words of sheikh hamza yusuf, writing using the "queen's English and not the KING's Arabic"
e'7wati, a few days ago i was reading 'rejal 7awl al rasul' by khalid mo7amd khalid, mainly the chapter on Saad ibn ma3az (ra), which was ended beautifully on the famous hadith, concerning how ehtaza 3arsh al ra7man lemot Saad ibn ma3az. This is a sa7eeh hadith fi sa7ee7 muslim. But what puzzled me is how this much cited and infamous hadith in particular when Saad is mentioned, hvnt been of an obstacle to the logic of whom aqeeda states that Allah is on the Throne.
Now the one-million-dollar/reyal sa3udi question is: did allah shake when the 3arsh shook? Is it one of Gods attributes to shake? or wasnt God on the throne when Saad (ra) died? If not, where was he? Or did Saad die in the last third of the night, when allah sub7anu 3ama ya9efoon was descending to the lowest heavens, so wasnt affected by the thrones movement?
I direct these questions and oblige those who follow the aqeeda of ibn tymeeya and m7md ibn 3abd al wahab, to make it their duty to answer them, and I would also be grateful for other brothers and sisters to cure us with their explanations and comments, may Allah bless you all and make us from amongst awleyahi al 9ale7een al lazeen yahtaza le mawtihim 3arsh al ra7man, ameen.
Lastly, jazakum allah khair, wa barak Allah feekum wa bekum.
