Br. Ahmad:
Assalamu 'alaykum.
(a) The science of logic (`ilm al-mantiq) has rules. For example, there is one rule in logic which says it is impossible for something to be and not be at the same time. Is this correct?
(b) To prove something with logic, then these rules must apply to that thing. For example, in order for you to be punished in America for a crime, you must have the rules of America apply to you. If the rules of America don't apply to you (meaning you live out of the country), then you cannot be brought to an American court. Do you understand?
(c) Since Allah created logic and its rules, there was a time that Allah did not have these rules apply to him (since they were non-existent). Allah does not change, so the rules of logic still do not apply to Allah.
(d) From (b) above, if logical rules do not apply to Allah, then we cannot prove anything about Allah with logic.
As for your use of the ayah of Sayyidna Ibrahim - 'alayhi assalam - then I do not see any logical proof. They don't prove anything about Allah, but they simply prove something about Nimrod. As for Shaykh Sa'id's statement that logic is صادقة على كل شيء, can you ask him to prove this, please?
